1. Introduction

These Terms and Conditions govern the use of the SyncEngine Marketplace, available at marketplace.syncengine.io.
The marketplace is a platform for discovering, purchasing, and downloading modules, extensions, and integrations designed for SyncEngine.
By accessing or purchasing products from the marketplace, you agree to these Terms and Conditions.

2. Marketplace Operator

The marketplace is operated by the SyncEngine project and its maintainers.
The marketplace acts solely as a distribution platform for modules developed by SyncEngine and independent third-party developers.

3. Third-Party Modules

Many modules on the marketplace are created and maintained by independent developers. For these modules:

  • The developer is responsible for functionality, maintenance, updates, documentation, and support.

  • SyncEngine Marketplace does not guarantee the correctness, reliability, or performance of third-party modules.

  • Claims, issues, or disputes regarding a module must be addressed to the developer of that module.

Module listings will identify the developer or publisher responsible for the module.

4. Purchases and Licenses

When purchasing a module, you receive a license to use it under the terms specified by the developer or publisher.
Licenses may vary between modules. Users are responsible for reviewing the license terms before purchasing or installing a module.

5. Module Submission Policy

5.1 Submission Guidelines

  • Modules must not modify the core SyncEngine software.

  • Modules must be installable via SyncEngine’s standard installation mechanism.

  • Modules must comply with SyncEngine’s technical, security, and quality standards.

5.2 Intellectual Property

  • Module authors retain all rights to their modules.

  • SyncEngine does not require modules to be open-source; closed-source modules are permitted.

  • Authors are responsible for compliance with applicable laws, licenses, and third-party dependencies.

5.3 Marketplace Participation

  • Use of the Marketplace is optional. Authors may distribute modules independently.

  • Modules may be subject to revenue sharing and additional terms, communicated during submission.

5.4 Removal of Modules

SyncEngine reserves the right to remove or disable modules that:

  • Violate applicable laws or marketplace policies.

  • Contain malicious or harmful code.

  • Misrepresent their functionality or breach technical standards.

Developers must also comply with the ongoing responsibilities outlined in Chapter 8: Developer Responsibility.

6. No Warranty

Modules are provided "as is" unless explicitly stated otherwise by the developer.
SyncEngine Marketplace makes no warranties regarding:

  • Compatibility with specific systems.

  • Availability of updates.

  • Absence of bugs or errors.

  • Security or reliability of third-party modules.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, SyncEngine Marketplace and its operators are not liable for damages resulting from:

  • Installation or use of marketplace modules.

  • Data loss or system disruptions.

  • Security vulnerabilities in third-party modules.

  • Incompatibilities with software environments.

Users install and use modules at their own risk.

8. Developer Responsibility

Developers who publish modules on the marketplace are responsible for:

  • Providing accurate descriptions and maintaining documentation.

  • Delivering functional software and providing support where advertised.

  • Ensuring modules do not contain malicious code and comply with applicable laws.

9. Changes to the Marketplace

The marketplace operator may modify, suspend, or discontinue parts of the marketplace at any time without prior notice.

10. Changes to These Terms

These Terms and Conditions may be updated periodically. Continued use of the marketplace constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
